Brookfield Properties today announced the opening of Manhattan West, its mixed-use destination spanning eight acres of restaurants, hotels, entertainment, luxury residences, modern office space and experiential retail.
With Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as the master architect, the resort is centered around a 2.5-acre urban pedestrian plaza with gardens and public seating. The square will be alive year round with free arts and public events hosted by Arts Brookfield, Brookfield’s cultural programming department.
Creative retail experiences focused on health, wellness and emerging brands and over 25 culinary concepts will line the plaza, providing visitors with an engaging outdoor shopping and dining experience.

Manhattan West’s new restaurant concepts bring together a selection of big names in the culinary industry.
Opening in early fall, Ci Siamo is the newest restaurant in Union Square Hospitality Group by Danny Meyer and Chef Hillary Sterling who focus on real fire cooking and a menu with Italian accents.
Serving neighborhood food all day, Meyer also brings his Concept of daily groceries in Manhattan West.
Arrival next month, Citizens New York will bring a high-speed, quick-serve culinary market with hot spots such as Umami Burger, Krispy Rice, Sam’s Crispy Chicken, Sa’Moto, El Pollo Verde, Plant Nation and more to the neighborhood, as well as two restaurant concepts from the parent company sbe, the famous West Coast Katsuya by chef Katsuya Uechi and the Casa Dani by three Michelin star chef Dani Garcia.
Located inside Pendry Manhattan West, Zou Zou’s by Quality Branded is run by chefs Madeline Sperling and Juliana Latif and offers an Eastern Mediterranean menu to the neighborhood. Midnight Theater presents lively riff on Asian classics with restaurant Hidden Leaf in October, complementing iconic Manhattan West dining experiences.
Recently opened, Pendry Manhattan West is the latest property in the Pendry Hotels & Resorts portfolio and the brand’s first hotel in New York City. In collaboration with Brookfield Properties, the hotel is designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and has 164 luxury guest rooms, including 30 suites, each with interiors by Gachot Studios and lighting by L’Observatoire International. The hotel has an undulating glass and granite facade, giving the 23-story building an outsized visual impact and creating contemporary and unique floor-to-ceiling windows in every room
