The Oman Sail team will meet again their cohorts of Nastro Rosa at Sailing Arabia

Muscat:Five members of the Oman Sail team traveled to Italy to participate in the upcoming Marina MilitareNastro Rosa tour which will be held in the port cities of the Italian coast from August 26 to September 20, 2021.

The team will take part in the first six stages before joining their teammates in Switzerland to train for the Star Sailors League final which runs from September 21 to October 4, 2021.

Team captain Nasser Al Mashari, along with Hussain Al Jabri, Ali Al Balushi, Haitham Al Wahaibi and Akram Al Wahaibi, will proudly represent Oman at the races in Genoa, Rome, Gaeta, Naples, Brindisi and Bari before joining their teammates for the Star Sailors League Finals. The 12-man squad will face professional teams from around the world for the Sir Roland Symonette Trophy in Oman’s first major international tournament for elite sailors after the pandemic.

Nasser Al Mashari said: “We are all looking forward to getting back on the water and taking every possible opportunity to learn, train and compete.
